In 1999 Magda founded Lie-Nielsen a fully staffed drapery studio with seamstresses who possess an old world dedication to the highest quality in hand tailoring, making all the custom created pieces of the finest design and craftsmanship.
For the last 25 years, we have made luxurious pieces, allowing our discerning clients the ability to live, dine, dream, play and entertain in environments that create lasting memories.
Since 1992 Magda Lie-Nielsen has been actively involved as a member of the Board of Directors of the Salvadoran American Humanitarian Foundation (SAHF) based in Miami, Florida. In numerous occasions Magda has served as the Foundation’s Chair for the yearly black-tie fundraiser that the Foundation hosts.
In El Salvador, SAHF’s sister organization, FUSAL implements all programs to benefit those in need. One such endeavor is the “Libras de Amor” Integral Nutritional Program which promotes the well-being of rural children under the age of 5 who suffer from malnutrition, which in many instances stems from the child’s family inability to generate proper income.
Lie-Nielsen Inc. has partnered with SAHF and FUSAL to provide fabric to support the income generation aspect of the program of participating mothers.
Magda travels once a year to visit the program and to talk to the benefiting women in ways in which they can further enhance their craft skills in order to raise their income and improve their livelihood.

Lie-Nielsen Studio provides window treatments including: custom curtains, drapery hardware, window shades, customs bedding, pillows and outdoor cushions.
